will be moving to your state as soon as my house sells, have a fatboy i'm thinking about putting 16" apes on. looking at your law for handlebars it say's max 15" above seat what's that even mean, how hard are they on that law. also do you have to have your bike inspected to get it tagged.

I'm sure you'll be happy in Missouri! I've lived in the state for about 15 years now (I'm on the Lake of the Ozarks now), and I'm contented. Good biking around the lake, too! Welcome!

Just had my bike inspected 2 days ago. They had me pull it in the bay and show them all the lights and blinkers, hit the horn and fill out some paperwork. I was in and out of there in 10 min. This was not a Motorcycle Dealer, just a local auto repair place close to my house (Not far from St Charles). Now my bars are not close to the limit, but I don't think that they would have cared either way.

Welcome to the East Central side of Missouri. There's a lot of nice riding through out Missouri, especially in the southern part.

License come due in April. And inspections are required but no emissions test.

Enjoy your new home!

I ride in Mo a lot..mostly Kansas City area. Ive noticed Missouri is pretty leaniant on some of thier laws. For instance, they have a helmet law, but dont mind if you wear a non dot lid. Unlike some states...not going to name names.....will give you a ticket for wearing one. Again, I dont know the specific laws...just my observation when riding up that way.

i have a heritage with stock bars, but i have seen a number of bikes with apes. i dont know first hand, but i would say if you catch a cop low on the quota or just feeling particularly hateful you might get harassed. i have several friends that live in st. charles and that area. you should have fun. stl has lots of fun things and good places to eat. welcome to misery, i mean missouri.
