1000 Evolution?
Hey just wondering what you guys think of these motors. I've heard they are very good! I know a guy who is having some tight times, and he has the Evo 1000, 2 frames, and springer front end. All for $500! This sounds like a great deal to me. But wanted to hear what you guys know, or think of these Evos. The entire engine is there, I'm sure it would take a lot of work, and money to get it up and going. But dont know if they are worth it. Thanks for reading, Fuzz

the evo didnt come in 1000cc it was available in 1200 or 883
if it was a canadian sale, i would buy it today $500 for 2 frames an motor and a front end is a fugging steal.

If it's a mid 80's sportster the time and money you would put into it to get a 25 year old $2000 motorcycle with questionable reliability is probably not worth it. 1340cc evo another story.

In 1986 the old Ironhead Sportster engine was replaced by the Evolution engine, and it was available in 883cc or 1100cc flavors.
In 1988 the 1100 Sportster EVO engine was increaded in displacement to 1200cc..
The Ironhead engine that was replaced by the Evolution was 1000cc, so maybe that is part of the 1000/1100 confusion.
