Default Stripped bolt????

I'm right in the middle of changing my lowers to chrome and I stripped the 6mm bolt, which holds the uppers to the lowers. I haven't a clue what to do. Harley Stealership told me I would have to purchase an entire new fork.
Any help would be appreciated.

Picture?

Can you get a drill in there to get an easy out in there?

If you can get a drill into the hole, a Heli-coil should work.

When you say stripped, do you mean the head of the bolt or the threads?

I just noticed your other post said it's the head of the bolt. Drill it and use an easy out. Or take it to a machine shop and have them do it if you can't do it yourself.

That video seems like a good alternative.
I had the same issue you had when i did a fork lower swap.
I ended-up having to drill the head of the bolt, slipped leg off and then removed bolt with pliers...would have been nice to try the hammer trick.

Here's the best tool I've found for a stripped bolt head:

You can get it at Pep Boys. It's not real good for tight spaces, though.
