No Bikes!!
Looks like Harley is having a good year. Went by my local dealer (Charleys in Huntington, WV) the other day to look for a new Super Glide. They only had about 25 bikes in there. THat's way down from the 75 or so they had a few months ago. They didn't have a single new super glide. Had one used but I'm looking for new. What's the deal? Anyone else noticing this?

I noticed it with the dealer we frequent over in PA. The last few times we've been there, there have been no Deluxe's sitting on the floor? I did hear on a local radio station during a business report that Harley Davidson actually was up in stock and would be building 200,000 units next year. I guess they meant bikes? Sounds like maybe they're doing better these days.

A way to increase sales, and the bottom line in a economic downturn is to lower production. Their production costs will go down, and the laws of supply and demand will force the price of their new bikes to increase. Remember the days when you had to order? Not saying it will get that bad, but it is possible.

The dealership i use in the U.K cant get enough new stock or used bikes either come to that,apparently a lot of the black bikes,nightrains etc are getting bought up and shipped to Germany and the Netherlands where there very popular and cheaper to buy in the U.K

If I remember this happens near new model intro. Most of the last new model 2010 inventory has been sold off. So floor space opens up. The dealers, even if they have some of the new 2011's can't put them out yet until MOCO gives the release date.

F&S in dayton has no bikes, but they're approaching bankruptcy I've heard. Would really hate to see them go, been buying parts from them for over 20 years
