Love my Fat Boy. You'll most likely change the seat (or the wife will make you at least change hers) if you're planning longer trips. We finally settled on a Mustang Wide Touring seat. Even with it 7 days on a trip could be rough. May need a bagger for something that long.

Don't be spooked by "Harley maintenance". As long as you can change the oils you'll do just fine. You'll even welcome the chance to do more stuff once you get your feet wet.

The older bikes were known to wrench them alot.but not the newer 03 and up should be ok.Buy yourself a good service mantinance catolog,turn your own wrenches,save your money and learn somthing!!
