I remember as a young kid (in the 70's) seeing older kids riding their KX's down the road with 3/4 helmets on with the goofy bubble shields. Thought that was the coolest.

My girlfriend keeps telling me that trends always return, over and over. I dig my Bell Speed Soul...hotter than the surface of the sun while wearing it, but who cares...

Haven't seen the Harley ones yet though.

I remember buying my first 3/4 helmet, black with sliver flake in it.....back when they first came out.
And yes we were cool in them.

Least we thought so..

Damn that was a long time ago.

I saw them at my local dealership last night but did not get a chance to try one on. Not bad looking.

So apparently your goal is to look like Mickey Rourke in "Harley Davidson and The Marlboro Man" cause he looked awesome in his sweet tight leather pants. The only good thing about that movie was the FXR and THE END.

Before helmets became a legal issue in the 60s, two kinds of riders wore helmets. The 1/2 helmet was favored by cops and the FLH Touring Society folks. No one cool wanted to look like they belonged to either group so we wore the 3/4 or "Jet Fighter" helmet. This was the type of helmet worn by racers and implied you had a fast bike. Whether you did or not was another question. I never had a metalflake one back then, but I did have a couple of black ones and a red one.

My V2 Easy Rider Fulmer sitting on my seat (signature). Had it for about a year now. Purchased it from a Kawasaki dealer but they were unable to get me the bubble shield for it. It was a special order from Fulmer. I prefer it over Shoei FF and HD half face. Downside, very little air circulation. I wear it to all my Patroit Guard events. Price was around $90. Would never pay $195 for a Harley one.

hahaahaahaa....what was the line "It's better to be dead and cool, then alive and uncool". lol the end was the best part. That movie was so bad (how bad was it), TBS refuses to air it.

I wear a flat black Fulmer and love it....cool looks, no bubble head, cuts the wind noise and can hear my radio better.....was thinking about stripping it up...maybe some Von Dutch type stuff....

Yes, it was a stupid movie but it was still about free spirited motorcycle riders.

Nope, I don't imitate anyone especially Mickey Rourke. Also don't let Moco set my fashion trend with a bunch of helmets that look like a space cadet would wear.

Just saying the metal flake in rainbow colors doesn't look man enough for me. I don't eat fruit loops for breakfast either.

Now if you think they are manly, my daughter has some metal flake pom poms and a cheerleading dress that will match a few of those new helmets.

Bell custom 500. Same color options, more actually and half the price. Got one last week. Most comfortable helmet i have ever owned.
