Black radiates more heat. Keeps them cooler. Don't know if it actually makes much difference though. I like the black.

It's a whole lot easier to keep clean...or at least appearing clean.

Yes, that too, Auto manufacturers figured out a longtime ago that if they painted black it dissipated the heat quicker...if it actually works ornot i cant say personally, but it sounds good on paper
