I bet she had the time of her life. A lot of kids' dads (if they are lucky enough to have one) don't do much on the weekends but pick their nose and water the lawn
I remember about 25 years ago, my then-girlfriend and I took her adoptive nephew out on my Yamaha Heritage Special. He was eight y.o., blind, and had a bad palsy, so he couldn't hold on by himself. He LOVED that ride, sandwiched between Rita and myself. He had a grin so wide I thought his head would split in two. Bet he remembers it to this day, if he's still around. Here's to you, Scotty!
Start 'em out young...That way they will be cognizant long before they get their drivers license.....Jay Springsteen the famous flat-tracker grew up on two-wheels!!
My 8 year old daughter will ride with me whenever she gets the chance. Her 5 year old brother is pissed that he can't reach the pegs yet! I remember growing up on the back of my dad's bikes. Good times.
Picked her up from school one day with the bike, and one of her classmates stopped and said, "wow, cool bike" to her. I asked her if she was embarassed, and she said she loves it.
Her only complaint is we don't go fast enough so that she can really "hear the pipes".
I got my first ride at 5. First bike at 7, raced TT at 9.
Both my girls were rode at 5. The older one had no desire to ride. The younger on would just keep saying faster. She went ton up sitting on the tank at 7. Got her own at 8. Still has it 20 years later.
She had Her own fitted helmet, and riding gear.
