I did the Dragon two weeks ago. I had seen this video clip many times. I wanted to see if I could recognized that spot. It was recognizable the moment I got to it. What I wanted to see was how deep the drop off was.
It was very deep and a steep incline. The rider and bike had to be in serious trouble.
It wouldn't have killed the guy driving the car to stop. Isn't that just courtesy? No one's gonna mess him up for stopping to see if he could help out.

1. Lack of ability to properly handle motorcycle in a turn.
2. Over riding the abilities of the rider.
3. Excessive speed.
If I remember correctly these are the top three contributors to motorcycle crashes.
Both of these cases obviously rider error. Was the first guy even paying attention? No attempt to even turn.
Second guy. Well at least it was a low side crash. Hopefully the bike took the brunt of the damage. Looks like he was trying to counter balance to correct the bike lean instead of shifting his body weight lower to stand the bike up.

Reason: Whoa.... I missed it. He's giving the biker wave in the first pic. LMFAO!!
The wreck wasn't funny, it's never funny when someone wrecks. But when that dude said "they're gonna beat our asses" I laughed my *** off. Too funny. As far as the riders, it looked like neither one of them made an attempt to make that turn. Especially the first rider. At the 32 second mark the video you'll see he had it, he was center lane at the apex but he just kept going straight. The 2nd rider was just left of center and he just followed the other dude. That's too bad, I hope no one was badly hurt. Pretty shitty of the driver for not pulling over to help.
