so im sitting at a stop light with a car on the other side thats coming my way. light turns green and car starts to pull out, but kinda jerky like they trying to decide if they are going to wait on me since im turning. now since im turning im waiting on the cager since he has the right of way anyhow. some stupid *** behind me starts blowing his horn for me to hurry up and move.. so i catch him at next stop light and ask if he has **** for brains wanting me to pull in front of a car and get ran over so his dumb *** can get going, he just looks like duh what did i do.
There are too many people who wait till the last minute to get somewhere and unfortunately they take their lifestyle out to the pavement and become a danger to everybody else. I actually put my kickstand down on a horn blower and asked if there was something wrong with my bike, not him. Well, we managed to sit thru another light and let him go around at earliest convience. Guess who was talking to him up the road, on the side. Yup, Barney.
this morning at a light at a T intersection, 2 lanes one to go left one to go right. old bitty left blinkeron, in the left lane decides to turn right just as I'm pulling along side at the red light. get up along side her and shes putting the paper down as I knock on the window, " sorry didn't see you" How hard is it to miss a large white guy on a big purple bike???? then proceeds in front of me at 10 miles below the speed limit. I just hope the image of me in her mirror for 5 miles jacked her BP by about 100 points.
I guess I am at the point where people can honk all they want, doesn't even phase me. I am not taking a chance on a left turn with oncoming traffic. They ain't gonna ruin my ride!
Your title, "Some cagers have no idea" is a true statement, but if you want to live a long happy life of riding, you need to assume everyday, "ALL cagers have no idea", and sorry to say, that should include me or anyone else that gets into a cage, whether they are riders or not.
Honk all you want I don't give a ****, im not going if i don't think its safe. I nearly got sideswiped one time by some pendejos in a lowrider who changed lanes without looking. I was so mad i kicked their door. Only time ive done that.
i didnt really mean to say some cagers are watching for bikes, matter of fact i have 2 cages myself and i remember last year damn near pulling out in front of a bike, as a rider this really made me feel like sh-t. i know things happen sometimes so i try to go on the assumtion that when im on my bike that i have to be on top of my game as far as watching the cages.
