Might not have even been his bike...Might have been test riding it before buying it....Or belonged to a buddy...Or perhaps stole it.

Agreed.. the one time I actually witnessed a crash.. it didn't turn out nearly as well for the rider.. bascially, what happened was an old guy in a Crown Vic ran a red light at an on-ramp for a local 4 lane by-pass. I was in my work truck, a class two bucket truck.. and a guy on an older softail was passing me on the right.. ( the right and left lanes are both turning lanes for a T intersection.. so bike was totally legal..) the big ford cut me off and t-boned the softail.. sent the rider and the bike flying.. the end result was the guy was medivac'ed out with mulitple compound fractures of his left leg.. The bike was pretty hammered as well..

I vote with the he stole it.

Why leave an accident scene fast?

Get out of there before the cops show up.

You guys just can't admit Honda riders are tougher then Harley riders. drop your ultra classic and you'll be all, Call a wrecker, Call my insurance company, Call my lawyer. He just got up and rode off into the sunset. So what if he didn't have any teeth left, or had road rash from his head to his ankles , and his riding costume looked like it went thru a wood chipper,he was riding dammit.,,
