A long time ago.
I mentioned when I started this tread about my old Friend Dirty Pete, and about him passing. and about his Helmet, I have been planning on getting over there to his house. but seems like there's alway's something goin on, and forget to go over there. Or I just don't have the time..
Last weekend, me and the wife was eating breakfast and here comes Pete's sister, She wondered why I havn't been over to get Pete's helmet, So I asked if she had the time I would come and get it. Well I got it and took a good long ride with Pete's helmet on in honor of him, While I rode , I let my mind wonder back to some of the memories of Pete.. Pete was a big Ol boy and I remember one time we were in a bar and there was a bike gang that had moved into town and Pete and other's were not a bit pleased with it. and that nite the dude that was the president came in and the longer we sit, the madder Pete got and finaly he got up and walked over and asked the ol boy to join him outside, I walked out, and I thought the boy was fixen to get a good whooping. Pete crabbed him by the arm, and the guy had a tattoo with his club's name and pete held the guy's arm up and told Him.. . " This will not happen Here" I don't know if the dude was scared of Pete or not but he didn't push the Issue.. I don't know what all happened the day's after that. but the M/C dedicided they would move on... If I remember Right, The gang was connected with the Hells Angels and this area around here is Outlaw territory.
And Pete knew some people.. anyway back to the ride, it was fun to take the ride and honor a old friend.. I wished I would have had the honor to ride with him while he was alive.. He'll be missed....Tom

I don't remember the year but it was sometime around 85 or 1986 , They were having the fifth or sixth Lester Watson Memorial toy run here in Clarksville,TN. and I had a invite to come and hang out with them at the party, at the time this toy run drew around 5 to 600 people it has grown into the largest toy run in the state of Tennesse.
Eric was from California and had a old pan head and was traveling around the country making jewery. and just taking life as it came to him, He had a old 3/4 ton chevy truck with a camper on the back that he worked out of and lived in, He made some of the finest rings I've ever seen, He was there at the party and we were all hanging out and enjoying the fruits. and drinking a bunch of ice cold FREE beer, Well sometime during the day one of the guy's breaks out a Gallon of double run Moonshine. Boy's I dont know if you've ever had any but if its brewed right its kinda like drinking springwater till it hits your belly. it will flat out put it on you, and put you down. Ol it was good. Here comes Eric and gets him a great big pull off the jug. Everybody told him, Eric you better go easy on that. Ol I'll be ok, He said.. well Eric was hitting it hard and put a good dent in the jug.. it wasnt long till Eric was getting kinda loose on the feet. Then he was off walking around. about 15 minutes went by and all of a sudden all the girls are over by the concession stand, We found out later that Eric had went behind the concession stand to relieve his self and pulled his chicken out and passed out with his chicken hanging out .. All the Girls were there getting a picture of him laying there on the ground with it hanging out. I dont know what ever happened to Eric . that was a LONG TIME AGO.. Tom
