Default Thinking about another bike

I have been thinking about getting a second bike for about a year now and think I have found it. I found a 2005 Softail standard that has only 4500 miles and looks like it has just came out of the showroom and is basically stock, except for the exhaust and air filter. I can get it for just a smidge over $9K. Good deal, or what?

If you look around enough and know what you're doing, you can buy any bike, brand, model for KBB TRADE-IN VALUE !!! I've bought 5 in the last year and summer is near over, sales are way way down. There are WAY more people wanting to sell than there are people wanting to buy. Have you ever heard of a "buyers market"?

A smidge over $9 grand for 2005 Softail standard sound a bit hight to me.

I've also been considering a second bike. I'm not sure it would be a Harley. But if it were, I would probably get a Wide-Glide or a Sportster. I haven't riden either one so I just don't know at this point.

I quit asking that question here when I bought the wife's used Road King. I hear of smok'in deals but rarely see evidence of them actually happening. We bought her an 07 with 1345 miles for a fair price.

Shop your market well.......it is a lot of legwork but in the end whatever you pay you can get-it and forget-it knowing you did your homework.

9k would be fair in this market, but you are not stealing it. If you like the bike and want it now, go for it. If you want to get a smokin deal, keep watching Craigslist and be ready to move fast when the right bike comes along.
