Depends on whether it's a 'planned ride' or just a 'jaunt around town'.
If it's a planned ride (4 or more hours) and the forecast is 40% or less then its a 'go'.
I'd need 60% or more to cancel a jaunt around town.
I'm not a big fan of riding in the rain, but do it when I have to.
I have good tires now so I'm a little more adventurous!!
Depends on the plan. If it is my ride to work and its heavy rain, thunderstorms before I leave the house then yes I take the truck.
I've done charity events when it rained from the time I left home until I returned.
Going on a trip, yes I'll ride and even leave in the rain.
If it is just a day ride with friends we may change the direction to avoid heavy storms.
If a day has an 80% chance of rain there is a 20% chance of not. Also it rarely rains the whole day. Not going is 100% chance of not having a good ride.
I tend to be the same way. Now if said ride involves the woman I usually don't get my way...
On a long ride I always figure an extra day for a rain delay.
This week I broke that golden rule when traveling back home from Sturgis.
We left Rapid City in the rain......If it's raining I have always stayed in Rapid and waited the day out.
But we had to leave, we got ahead of the storm just past Wall and drove the next 500 miles in the 100 degree heat.
When we started heading north by Rochester, MN that storm caught up to us.
Usually 60% I'm done. I left this morning with 50% and checking the maps on my phone it's soon to be 100% and hopfully gone by the time I get done. Or I'll be getting a wet ***.
It being my only mode of transportation when the OL is at work means rain or shine for me. I don't even pay attention to the weather man. I'd rather trust my own judgement.
walk out to front yard not getting wet Lets Ride. don't leave the house in the rain but if get wet after i leave oh well. it's florida expect to get wet through out the day just wait it out.

If it is already raining, I take my truck.
If it's not, and I bother to check the weather, it's a 50% or greater to take the truck.
Most of the time, I don't check though.
It isn't the chance of rain that affects my decision, it is the likelihood of lightning. I can clean off the results of rain, it is much harder to wash off a lightning strike.
