as already stated...
when your VIN starts as
1HD this means that your model was made for the domestic market (USA)
if it is like:
5HD This means that your model was made for International market (rest of the world)
and as a curiosity...if it starts like this:
932 This means that the bike was assembled in Manaus, Brazil - but in this particular case, you don't have to worry because all HD assembled here are for local comsumption...it's not exported anywhere else.
In your order form...the words DOM stands for Domestic model...HD doesn't sell international market models in the US market, this differentiation was done to prevent dealers from importing models from overseas markets when their stock was low (this actually happened few years ago).
Few years ago there wasn't this differentiation in VIN coding like there's today...
