Imagine if you had crashed and the medics were trying to get your helmet off.........reminds me of the biker who was wearing his leather jacket backwards because the zipper was broken and crashed the bike. A well meaning citizen told the medics he had gotten the guys head turned around right before they got there.
MY 1972 3/4 has been dropping black foam on my head for weeks. Last night I decided to slice up another of my helmets and make a new liner for it. I was out of my normal 3m spray adhesive so I grabbed the Gorilla Glue and proceeded to glue in the new foam and liner. I set it aside and went about my business.
Well 10 minutes later I got the urge to go for a ride, grabbed my helmet and took off not even thinking about the new liner I had JUST installed. About 15 miles from home I noticed my forehead felt weird and I suddenly realized what I had done. A moment of pure terror set in as anyone familiar with gorilla glue knows what it's capable of.
The gorilla glue soaked through the foam from the pressure of me wearing the helmet and had firmly attached it to both my forehead and hair. It took some serious pain to get it off my head. So today I have not only a red mark across my forehead but also some missing hair and clumps of gorilla glue stuck all over my head.
