Not a big deal just take it easy on the throttle, less chance of pre detonation

If it doesn't ping, go ahead and fill up with 87 next time. Lots of people run the cheapest gas they can find.
I run 87 occasionally but notice some pinging under load so I usually run premium.

It shouldn't ping at all, the ECM will retard the timing if it senses detonation.

I accidentally forced mine to do it by advancing the timing curve too far (oops) it ran like **** for a few seconds until the ECM reset the timing advance.

After a lengthy conversation with the guys at Fuel Moto about my bike's hammering sound at low rpm & heavy throttle application (which I thought was detonation) it turned out to be the noisy compensator, not detonation.

Don't worry about the fuel, just run the tank and refill with supreme.

Hell no. Not this guy, I put 93 octane at every fill up if no 93 available I run 92. Only way I would run 87 is if like the OP and made a mistake. Not gonna rag on you it's your bike and money therefore your choice.

I worked at a service station years ago, and if there was left over regular unleaded in the tanker truck, it just got dumped into the premium storage tank. I would imagine it still goes on today. We probably never know what octane we are truly running.

you probably wont' notice a thing........... it really doesn't make much difference in stock motors...... if you do get a ping or two it wont hurt anything; you can switch back at the next fillup

90 or 89 is about all I can find anyway. A lot of times 87 is all that is available. The 92 or 93 are hard to come by, and when I find 91 somewhere I think it is pretty special. No problems at all.
