Thats what I did. When she rides with me I put on the Sundowner. She loves it which usually means I love it later.

my old lady got a tiny boney lil *** and all she does is complain with the stock. I have been looking but i dont know what to go with. Too many choices. I guess from what i am reading that the sundowner is the way to go.

But thats why i am leaving her home for Delmarva Bike Week

Finding the right seat is harder than trying to pick an exhaust sound that you like.

No two bike owners (rider) are alike and no two partners (passenger) are alike. This act of natural creates many different needs and choices to choose from and/or to try out. Just getting the two people on one bike to agree on a seat is hard enough without liking what your fellow biker likes.

I guess that is why I am on my second Harley and have now owned five different seats. If you are lucky enough to hit on the right seat the first time, then you are one of the few among us.

You think Butty-Buddy doesn't sound right in print, you should see how it sounds when you are trying to explain it to someone. I agree, it is one of the worst product names that I have ever heard, but the BW loves it and that makes me happy!

Best of both worlds.
Had the same setup as you on the old RK and we both loved it too - worked just like you say. Then I traded for the '10 and the good old '07 set-up wouldn't fit the new frame so I got the dealer to toss in a new Sundowner. Well... she hated it - BIG time hated it.

Had to buy another Mustang two-piece and bingo, she loves her new Mustang pillion just as much as the old one. BTW maryland blackout - the Mustang pillions are available in three different sizes so if you go this way, no matter which one you actually get her, remember to tell her it is the "narrow" one.

I can see it now: "does that seat make my butt look fat?"

I have the Mustang Tripper solo and pass seat. I find the solo seat very comfortable and the pass seat has got nothing but rave reviews and it only takes half a minute to put it on.

Haha. Thanks for lookin' out. You're right. you can tell a woman you got her the extra wide seat for her comfort and all she's going to hear is "extra wide"
