Do you need me to help you pick your first girlfriend also?
No, Ive had no complaints with your mother yet.
Anyways, isnt that what this forum is for is to help others. Im not asking for someone to pick my bike and do a poll. Winner is the bike I get. No. Its not pick the best bike for me so I look cool and you all love me.
Im doing this for input on the bike itself, the price, mileage on all bikes.
Input so far is good. Asking If I ride far, letting me know best bike for each purpose. No need for you to try and act all bad.
I would of expected that comment from a Private.

Night Train & the RK... One bike isn't enough to cover all bases, I checked first, no rules against it. I love my RK, but my WG is funner.
When I was in your shoes, I rented everything they make and a few of them twice.
Man if I were you take a ride to a Harley dealer and have a ball.Look them all over good try and imagine which one you want to be seen on.Sit on a few, get a feel, try one or two out.Make it a good experience.I remember my first Harley in 62 had to pull it out of the mud with a pickup truck.Good Luck!

Good point. Don't forget the emotional side of it. The one that really pushes your button should be the one you get and then deal with whatever you need to later to make it do what you need. If they all have the same basic appeal to you then do the statistical thing and get the one that suits what you expect to spend the most time doing.
The RK is bad ***. I sat on it and its amazing. It is a heavy ***** though. Not sure If I could handle such a beast.
I just rode from DC area to Sturgis on a softail. If you are going to do a lot of long distance riding, the Road King is the only way to go. Also, the weight of the bike is not important; the BALANCE is. I went from a Honda Shadow (1100) to an Ultra and after about twenty minutes on the Ultra I was much more confident than I was on the Honda. Harleys are well balanced and easy to ride. You'll be RIDING it, not CARRYING it!!
A wise poster already said this on this thread: why not buy a new super glide or street bob for $12,999. Two year warrenty, 6 speed, 96 cu in, great ride and great handling.
Why are you looking for used bikes. Half the time people sell a car or bike it's because their at the point of doing it before they have to pay for a major repair.

Ok, HD called. I went in and got approved. Just need to get $2500 down. They are trying to work something out. I cant do $2500 down. In February I dumped about $8k into the suspension, etc on my cummins and well 6mths later I sold it and didnt make a penny. So wife wont let me put $2500 down and here the infamous words " Im going to keep it for a while, im not going to sell it'' well needless to say selling truck for payoff went down like a fart in church.
So they are work with a bank for small loan. Im going to neg. prices on the bikes. I wish I knew they excepted trucks as trade ins. Im sure they would of excepted a low mileage, clean diesel.
Also they guy asked if I had anything of value. All the bikes, cars, trucks etc ive had Ive sold, so no i dont. He said a guy came in a needed money down so he went home and got a laptop, xbox, and tv and that counted. Ive never heard of that. Thats crazy but great that HD is willing to get riders on the road.
Im going to wait until the truck balance is totally paid off and until I get the HD.
Ok so I just sold my Dodge Cummins. So I have quite a bit after I sell that and pay some bills off. Time to get on a HOG.
Choosing between 3 at the local dealer.
Here they are. Pics are respectively in order.
2001 Road King-30k miles, $14.9k. All custom, skull paint, apes, air ride.
2005 Softail Springer-15k miles, $12.9k
2005 Nightrain-17k miles, $13.9k. Lots of work, flat black, bored out to a 95cu in motor from what salesman said.
Im leaning towards the springer, but Ive seen a TON of nightrains on here with custom work and they are very nice.
Thanks guys. My whole family is HD nuts. Uncle,Dad, Step dad. I am too just never been able to get one. Ive been approved from HD many times before. I just wasnt ready to take home at time. I need a HD. I mean I just named my second son HARLEY!
Ive rode street bikes just no HD. Dad said HD is easy to ride.
Thanks guys. Give me your input. On handle bars, motor, prices, miles, etc.
I know its all on how I feel on it, which one I like etc of course. Just need input.
