Okay, I must say that I got my bike this past summer. The weather is starting to cool off now and it's time to dress appropriately for riding. I know some of you wear leather all the time when riding (first precautionary step in preventing road rash for that "just in case" scenario). I have been to many leather stores, to include the bike shops and I see that a lot, if not all leathers are made in some f'ed up foreign country that we should have wiped off the map by now. I REFUSE to buy leather that is made in China, Pakistan, Equador or wherever they are made. Anybody know of a leather store that sells great leather apparel made right here in the good ol' USofA?
Think about it: if our bikes are made here, and the MOCO is so proud that they are "American made", why can't their apparel be made the same way? If it's cheaper to get it from another country, why charge us out the wazoo for it? Thanks corporate America!
Yeah, yeah, yeah! The wife drives a Mazda, but that company is owned by Ford. My Grandfather and my Dad instilled in me as a young kid to "buy American", but when gas is 3 bucks a gallon and I have family in TX that we see often, we gotta have one gas sipper. Thanks again corporate America for gas prices!
That's a tough one. If your moral convictions won't allow you to buy, say a HD leather jacket that is made in Taiwan, then you must continue your search. I personnaly think most of us better get over the "made in America" thing. We live in a GLOBAL economy now, and it's getting worse everyday. I work for the Boeing Co. and we get our airplane parts from all over the world and "assemble" the airplanes in the USA. Same goes for just about everything you can think of. Possibly not right, but reality.[sm=confused06.gif]

Hate to break your bubble. Your bike is not "Made in America". It is assembled in America. It's made all over the world.

Owned by Ford, and your wifes Mazda6 is built proudly by AMERICAN workers of the UAW right here in FLAT ROCK, MICHIGAN.
You bought an American made vehicle, and we thank you for your support.
