I know a guy that bought a BMW in the late 70's, sold it and then hunted it down and bought it back in the 90s. He still has that bike. It was his soul mate. I have taken it for a ride. It is a nice bike but I would not have bought it .....twice.
Thats not to say you won't have another. Thats why they make 2 and 3 car garages..
My friend recently bought a 98 Ultra Classic for $8K. Really nice bike. If I had a choice of that bike for 8 grand or a metric for just a few thousand less, no way would I buy the metric. And lately, Everytime I hear about an unbelievable Harley deal it seems like I hear an even better deal the next day. With the Harley market the way it is currently I wouldn't even consider a new bike right now.
