How bad is a 21" front wheel on a 2008 CVO Springer?
Hey there,
I do love the ride of my 2008 CVO Springer and I wanted to see if anyone has ridden the same bike with a 21" skinny front wheel instead of the 18" fat wheel.
I can appreciate it will be a little different however I have been told that the 21" on the front on my bike will not turn safely and may cause serious under steer therefore becoming a very dangerous exercise.
I'm sold on the look of the 21" but need to know if anyone has expereinced the difference?

You should stop taking advice from retards.
Go for it! Although with your bike and the beefy rear end I'd go with a 21X3 (maybe 21X3.5). Something a little wider than the standard 21" found on the FX softails.
There is nothing dangerous about a 21 and whoever told you that doesn't know their stuff.
I'd say whoever's tell'n ya all that's full of it.......the '07 CVO Springer had the 21.....almost bought 1 in Abyss Blue,myself......Bro/law(pics) has an 07 w/the 21, and has no issues.....at all.........luvs that bike......
The service manual has warnings about changing the wheel size on the springer front end...I am sure they are covering their a$$ for legal reasons...My opinion I would leave it as is...I have seen too many times when people change things just because it looks cool and then complain about the handling the ride quality etc ...Just my opinion and experience...It is your bike do whatever you want to with it...Just be sure to keep your old parts in case you don't like it.
If you want some funny reading search for threads about 21" wheels and laugh at all the scary comments people make about cracks in the road and loss of control... it has really become an internet myth of sorts.
