I'm 5'8 and going to buy a bike with forward controls (an 07 Street Bob) and I am wondering if they are going to be to far for me. Anyone out there have forwards on their bike thats shorter than me? if so do you have a special boots, seats, etc that help out?
I know the Dyna's are larger bikes than the Sporty's but have forwards on both my sporty's and would never have one with mid's on it. I have been on a 07 Dyna Low rider with forwards and i was fine. I'm 5'8" and did not even have boots on. Now I was on a 2008 Night Train and it was a bit of a strech for me, but still fine and would not have it anyother way.

I'm 5' 7" A friend has a small Harley bike shop and i sit on alot of the bikes that just came in Some model bikes fowards fit me great others i cant reach So i guess it depends on the model
Im 5'9" and my Sporty had mid controls but my leg would cramp up on long trips so I swiched to forwards and didn't happen again. My 80 Harley FLT had floorboards almost as far up as forwards and had no problems and now my Shovelhead thats in a softail frame has forwards and same thing no problems so don't think you should have any problems best thing to do is sit on it and see for yourself. Kind of like ape bars my dad is over 6' and he has 16" apes on his shovelhead he came over and let me ride it was worried I wouldnt beable to reach but to my surprise I could and actually they were comfortable for me at that height.
