They show up twice a year by the millions. Thick as fog! They have a chemical, in them, that will eat into your paint if you don't remove them PDQ.
When you ride you'll have hundreds of them on you and your bike!
I think they mainly are in the Gulf Coast area.

Nasty Critters
Glad we don't have them up here in Ontario Canada. We have lots of bugs but they eventually clean off even if you leave em for a bit! I wiil have to try the lemon pledge stuff some time. I have used the peroxide and water it seems to work.

We get Mayflies up here big time in the spring. They cover everything and then the roads get really slippery!

While returning from Wisconsin I drove through a bunch of them on I-75 between Lake City and Ocala. Took a load up for my wife's son and had to use the truck. Travel is a pita when not on the Harley.

I live in the Port Charlotte area in SW Florida. The lovebugs don't seem that bad so far this year, compared to other years.
We had record breaking cold temperatures last winter and I was hoping that might have wiped a lot of them out.
