Default Indy Shops

Just wanted to relay my experience with a local Indy the other day. A while back I had several things done with a certain shop here in OKC. They put on my PCV, dynoed, BCT Baffles, some bags. I was in a hurry and they got it done in a day. Once I got the bike home I was wiping what I thought were bug guts off the seat and it turned out to be a small slice in my seat. Almost looked like a razor cut. They also did not bother to put the chrome ends back on my Big Radius pipes. I actually decided I kind of liked the look so I didn't say anything.

Anyway, bike was running great until about 1,500 miles later while I was riding home from work (200 mile round trip) and I let off the throttle. Sounds like a machine gun with all the decel popping. I get home and look in the pipe and can see one baffle is gone and the hole where the screw was just looks ripped out.

I called the shop and the guy said to bring it in but he was really sounding annoyed with me and sort of implied it was probably BCT's problem. Bought a single baffle from BCT and decided to try a different shop around the corner from my office.

I went in to talk to the guy and he seemed knowledgeable. He's a Harley certified Master Tech and has been an Indy for 10 years. He says he's the only guy at the shop that works on the bikes then tells me to roll my bike in. He had the baffle in within 10 minutes, said it was a freak deal the way the screw hole ripped out and not the other shops fault. I asked what I owed and he said nothing. Just told me to come back. Then he spent 15 minutes showing me the benefits of gear drive cams vs. the stock setup because I told him I was probably going to do some engine mods next year. Just an all around good guy and good experience.

Anyone in the OKC area that's interested heres his website:

"Want it bad, get it bad" comes to mind.

Good that you found an Indy that makes you happy. That's what matters most in the long run.
