Default Problem Free

I spend a lot of time on the forum reading the posts, and I can't believe all the problems people have with their bikes. I have an 03 duece and an 05 Ultra and other than having to replace an oil pump on the 05 ( waited to long before changing the cam tensioners), the only money I've spent on my bikes was for maintaince and goodies. Am I the luckiest SOB in the world or are there others like me? Lets hear it.

My Softails* weren't that reliable but the RK (had it for 10 years) and my latest SG (so far) have been totally without problems......

*regulators, main fuse, gearbox mainshaft seal, front wheel bearings, umpteen batteries, rusting on chromed laced wheels, snapped cables etc...

I think for some people the old sayin', "If it ain't broke, fix it till it is" might apply.

Knock on wood. I haven't had a lick of trouble in 15K miles on my 2009 Streetglide.

Had my Sporty towed twice - both times it was the relay - nothing serious but towing a scoot is serious coin.

I've been fortunate so far. Nothing more serious than rocker box gaskets (while in warranty) on my Sporty in around 21,000 miles and nothing so far on my Heritage. I think most of it depends on how you ride, how well you maintain it, and how much you fuque with it (goofy or badly done mods, etc.). Of course, there are the ones that roll off the line every so often that came straight from Hell, but I think those rare.

HK head unit wouldn't play CD's when delivered- replaced under warranty. Saddlebag latch spring broke under warranty. Brakes squealed like a biotch- red hi-temp silicone fixed that. 27k and no major problems.

My 02 FXD; one stator, a couple of regulators, cam chain tension shoes (due again probably next year) maybe two batteries, after market regulator helps the battery situation 42,400 miles

My 05 FXDLI; valve guide seals fixed on MOCO's dime. 12,300 miles.
