Try the Sylvania Silver Star Bulbs. They are iridescent blue when turned off and are amber when turned on. They are a little expensive; the cheapest that I have found them is $20.00 for 2 at AutoZone. (Single or dual filament same price.)

Since the LED's have already been brought up, led me add to the question. I put led bulbs in my rear turn signals and now the flashing speeds up after about 4-5 flashes. Then the security lamp on the speedo (the red key) comes on and stays on until I turn off the engine. Do I just need a load equalizer? The bulbs only cost about $17 so I guess an equalizer would rack up the cost by about $50, right?

Try Custom Dynamics for silver coated amber and red bulbs. $4.95 each max depending on if you go half or full coated. As for 4MerRacer, get a Kruyakyn load equalizer from M&M Cycle and save 20 %
