wide glide, did you ever buy from here....or do you know of anyone who has. I have seen there name on a few scam sites, but normally when you type in a company like that there would be hundreds that pop up. Plus the whole western union thing worries me. If anyone has had good or bad experiences with this site let me know.
Thanks again for all you guys who continue to help a newbie out on this forum!
I can barely even LIFT the leather jacket I got from Jafrum for $82 on sale! I found one of the same quality and heft (with the addition of the HD patch at the dealer which I liked just as much...it was $570 plus tax...
Yes the Chinese make mistakes. Remember the tainted pet food. Within a short time span the government executed the company leader. Good example for the others to learn from. They executed another business leader and some corrupt government officials after that but I don't remember the screw up but it dealt with export business.
Those jackets are on the close-out racks here in Florida. Check some different dealers and find your size at one of them, and just have it shipped to you.
On a side note, HD delaerships down here (and probably every where else..) usually put their leather stuff on close out "marked down" racks around June or July. Plan ahead for your leather purchases from HD, makes friends with one of the cuties that works there, and have them stick it in the backroom on lay away rack, for you.
I go to China 3 times a year, I would bet you that jacket will look almost identical to a genuine jacket but if you had a close look you would probably find the stitching and especially the zipper to be of questionable quality. These things can always be repaired if needed. The one thing the Chinese are very good at is coping right down to the label. What makes it really tricky is that there are different levels of quality in there copying also.Thats my take on it.
You've had pretty sound advice already....I own a fancy HD jacket, bought from a dealer at the end of riding season for about 50% off. It says made in China right on the label too. It's a very comfortable jacket but one small wreck going 40 it has shown to be not so durable. Just an fyi and my 2cents.

Hell, yeah. Get it for the $175. That's much better than paying dealer mark-up. I have an H-D jacket and it's darn good quality for being made in China. Won't say what I paid for it, tho. Too embarrassed.
