My front brakes on my Fat bob make a kind of noise when applied. Back brake is silent thought. Never noticed brake noise on my old Honda, but then again its braking system was probably more sophisticated.
If it only makes a noise when braking, sounds normal to me. The pads will slightly rub against the discs when not applied. I would go for a ride and deliberately not touch the brake. If you feel the disc is hot then they are binding, if its cold then they are fine.
the rubbing noise is probably just the sound of the belt meshing with the sprocket , since i assume you just hear it when the bike is off and you are rolling it, they all do that.
