Thats what the world is coming to let the other fellow worry about it. They are probably the same ******** that drive cars/trucks darting in and out of cars to get to the light 5 secs ahead of you then when the light changes they floorboard it. I stop for any bikes.

We are in an age of cell phones, insurance tow, highway patrols....so what the heck. It would be nice if someone wil stop and share the grief. Stopping also have it's own dangerous consequences depending on the situation.

That sucks, but it's getting to be the rule and not the exception anymore.
We had a similar experience a couple of years ago when my friend's bike was messed up. We had one guy stop out of about 60 bikes that went by.
I always stop when I see a bike beside the road, or at least slow down until I get the signal that everything is okay.

I'd have stopped for ya. More than once I've turned around and went back to see if things were OK to find out folks on a bike just stopped for a smoke or something. Has always resulted in good bike conversations and meetin' good people. Couple of times I've been able to provide a tool or a ride.

I've pulled people out of ditches and called for help, but in 16 years of driving, I have never seen a motorcycle stopped at the side of the road, unless they were putting on rain gear. About a month ago, I stopped to see if a bicyclist needed help. She was sitting in the grass, blood running down her leg. She had nice legs though, maybe that's why I stopped. So, hey. If no one stops to help, you need to show some skin.

I just can't ride by a motorcycle on the side of the road. If i'm in a cage or on my bike i stop every time.
This past June I was on I-70 about 5:00 AM when I ran over something that hit my side stand spring and knocked it loose, what the heck are the chances of that? I'm on the side on the road waiting for someone to stop to hold the bike so I could wire up the stand. Nope 45 minutes later I decided I better find a way. Nobody stopped in the 55 minutes I was on the side. No bikes passed though.

Said it B4, I'll stop regardless of what I'm driving unless I get a sign that everythings OK. Might not be able to do anything, but I know the moral support helps alot.
BTW, how many times have you forgotten your cell phone? Maybe that's all they need is to call for help.
