When do the 2011 models come out? It sounds like you need a new bike.

This whole thread is cracking me up. Since when does anyone around here care about someone's IQ? Tell you what, give me one person with good common sense over a whole truck load of so called high IQ people.

Just saying.

By the way, this is a Harley forum...do you really expect to post a thread about a screw up without people getting on your case a little? LIGHTEN UP! Geeez.

MF towels are polyester and myrad. I recon cars for a living and just did this myself. A brand new razor blade is all I used. No scratches

Recently running engine = hot exhaust pipes. Make note of that.

Propane torch and a cotton towel. Heat got it on, heat will get it off. Did something like that one time - worked perfectly. Just heat the spot gently, just enough heat to keep the chrome for discoloring, then wipe with the cotton towel.

Don't worry...this will all seem very minor after you drop yourr bike for the first time.

once you get the first scratch in it you don't have to worry about it any more. keep the bike for 25 years, look at the frame under the motor, there won't be any paint left. nobody looks at your bike, you might think people look, but they really don't.

I still say it's time for a pipe upgrade. Yippee!
