Default Rat-trailer: Need ideas

Hey I picked up a crappy old mc trailer on the cheap awhile back. Its got problems. It has three rails for bikes, but two of the front-wheel stops were cut off by the previous owner (outside rails). Normally it doesn't matter because I only haul a single bike at a time.

But, I'm moving out of state and I'd like to haul both bikes at once. Any ideas for a quick-fix wheel stop? Do I even need one if I use 4 straps per bike?

This may be the ugliest bike trailer in the history of man.

Get some steel channel and weld it or bolt it on. Add some gussets for strength.
I use 6 heavy duty straps/bike even with the tire up against a solid wall (think truck bed).

H#ll, doing it on the cheap I'd just bolt some 4x4 blocks to the front of the rails. You don't need much for a wheel chock. strap the bikes (four straps each), put 'em in gear and hit the road.

Just make sure you got good wheel bearings and tires on the trailer. Don't matter what it looks like so long as it keeps rolling.

I have trailered my bike on a flat-bed trailer with no wheel chock. If you have plenty of straps it can be done. Strap the front wheel down using several straps in different locations. You don't want the front tire to be able to pivot, lift or slide in any directions. Even the bottom of the wheel should be strapped to keep it from moving on bumps and turns. Then strap the rest of the bike as usual.

A man that rags everyone about their trailers buys a trailer. Use a 4x4 for a wheel stop and don't go cheap or skimpy on tie downs. I know of a instance where a bike go loose in an enclosed trailer and beat itself and two other bikes to pieces. I also have a friend who had a back fender beat badly by having a ramp slide up against the back tire. As the trailer bounced the ramp bounced and beat the bottom of a rear fender up badly.
