Have you ever run from the cops

I ask because coupla weeks ago I was in town and started my bike, well it just exploded to life way louder than normal and its a loud bike. A cop was driving past and immediatly pointed and said STAY RIGHT THERE I could read his lips, but because of construction he had to go a few blocks to turn around. I saw this as an oppurtunity to escape and did. Over the years I've done this a number of times and it's been successful about half the time. Am I alone or do others do this.

I did it as a kid on my dirt bike many times. There were too many of us riding home on the streets from the trails and we would all just split in different directions. If memory serves, none of us ever got caught. I don't have the ***** to try it these days. Outrunning a cop is one thing. Outrunning a radio is entirely different.

Why would I want to be an idiot? If you did nothing wrong, I am sure you could have easily explained that to the cop.

Did it way back when I was much younger and dumber on a ZX6 Ninja. Cruising home late night up an empty stretch of RT287N, I came over the crest of a hill and there was a cop. I looked down and was doing 100mph, looked up and he already started to pull out. Said FU** IT and pinned the throttle. Last I remember the speedo was at 170mph and my exit came up REAL quick, almost didnt make it. Did it as a kid on the dirtbikes too many times to remember.

Little older and alot slower now...
