Default Buckhorns

I took them off my Streetbob and put regular touring bars on. The buck horns were comfortable but in the cool weather my hands would go numb...they sat me too upright so I caught a lot more wind and that contributed to a front end wobble. The touring bars are more comfortable as in no more cold hands and the front end is a lot steadier at high speed.

Work for me. I've been on a few long ride and have no complaints. I also have nothing to compare them too but why should I if I like what I have?

I took them off my FXDC and installed Duece bars with risers. I can't imagine that if you took someone and had themplace their hands in a "normal" position, it could ever look like a buckhorn bar! Your wrists are twisted out from your arms at an odd angle!!

I hated them on a sportster and not any better on a Dyna.

But that is why they make "other" bars. Everyone is different!

My FXSTC came with buckhorns and I have never felt the need to change them. Even after my crash in 2004...I replaced them with more buckhorns. Look good and feel good - works for me.

Those that like old school have to like buckhorns.

They've been around since 1926.

Best all around design. Easier to press down on to counter steer. Allow most natural sitting position for me.
Apes keep my arms straight creating windchill tunnels.
Beach bars if you have extra long arms but still makes the bike to wide to fit through tight spaces.
Drag bars just ugly.
