Not even close to putting her to bed yet. The only problem I ever really had was keeping my fingers warm. A pair of Gerbing T5 gloves fixed that pesky little problem. I'm good to go until sometime in December or later if the weather stays mild.
Ya just gotta have the right gear. Upper 30's and very windy/gusty here this a.m. Here's what I wore, and I was quite warm: Thermal shirt, long sleeve mock turtle, Tourmaster jacket with liner, neck gaiter, jeans, First Gear Overpants with liner, warm knee high socks and Columbia 8" Bug-A-Boots (rated to -65, H-D Windshielder Gloves. All this gear was not intrusive and allowed plenty of freedom of movement. The overpants snug very nicely around the boots, no air in. I do have a balclava, but did not use it today. Ridin in the cold is a hoot, the bike just loves that cold air. Now, get out there and have some fun.
The adhesive keeps 'em in place. Stick 'em to the top of my socks, and inside my gloves on the back of the hand part (while also wearing polypro or silk glove liners). I buy 'em in bulk. Pay about $1/pair. Toasty!
