I agree it is a scam because it's too convoluted, too weird, too good to be true, etc.
But how does the scam work? The guy is saying he will send you a bike if you send him your name and address (which are totally public info). He says you don't have to pay until you have the bike for 5 days. It seems like if you had possession of the bike, you could scam him.

I just wonder how it works is all.
He never says you dont have to pay. You have to pay ebay then he will ship a bike. If he likes the bike ebay will release funds. Yeah right

And you can probably bet your not actually paying ebay either.
He'll send you instructions for payment, with a link to what you "think" is an ebay escrow type account.
Once you realize there is NO bike going to show up, you'll contact ebay and they won't have a clue to what your talking about.
You'll never see that money again.
Iget these all the time. The guy is either working out of the country, or it's a woman who is getting divorced & is selling the hubbys bike which was in her name. The bike is always like 1/3 of what it's worth & crated in some shipping port ready to be sent out. Nothing ever changes, except the bike itself. They even have a legit pic with a VIN. I ONLY buy vehicles locally after checking them out in person. Cash for title--no other way. I don't trust NOBODY!! (yea, I know--it's a double negative)
Thanks for all the responses, even those condeming me for 'believing' this. I actually did not (totally) believe it, or I would have already sent the cash to get the supposed deal. I did want to post this for opinions and serve as a warning to others. I, like a few others here, am not sure how it actully works but as the general opinion is - If it looks like a turd, and sells like a turd, well...
