naw we're not sayin nuthin they don't already know. But just in case I'm going to send them a message....
YOUR PRICES ARE WAY TOO HIGH.
Wonder if that will make a difference.
But you bought the product anyhow. When the prices are high enough that people complain, but low enough that they still buy, HD would probably consider that a good profit level.

Yes, true, I buy HD when I have to. But if I find the product elsewhere, then HD loses the sale. I've bought a lot of big ticket items online when I could have gotten them from HD, for example my windshield. Other stuff I bought elsewhere... my helmet, leather jacket, pants, boots, gloves, goggles, sunglasses all were bought elsewhere because I didn't want to pay double at HD.
So yeah, they got some money out of me, but I think there is a lot more money in large volume/small markup than the other way around. Look at walmart for the extreme case.
The only people they listen to are the Wall St Investment Banks
Couldn't agree more. Unless it is something that translates to dollars and cents, you can suggest and recommend all you want, but they are not listening.
Just in case the board members read these threads..............How about free assless chaps and fingerless gloves with the purchase of any new bike????
Don't forget the T-Shirts!
Used to be, you could get a t-shirt from a shop just for bein a customer, or drinkin a beer with the guys after closing. Since the chrome boutiques took over, you can't even get a beer! I don't drink coffee, so just toss me a shirt please!
I'm sure that their Marketing Department is dolling out about 65K to some snot nosed kid with a MBA fresh from the University of Wisconsin who by the way happens to know everything about anything, to read and then report his synopsis to a "Panel" on all the forums pertaining to the MOCO's products. How else can they explain the palette of color choices for the 2011 models?
I am just wondering with all the great info on this website about HD owners if HD the company has employees assigned to check out how its customers feel about their products and the dealers who sell them.
I am amazed at all the great info on here as I have learned alot from you guys about HD bikes as many others have also.
Anybody here work for HD? So does Harley read these threads to get first hand info on its customers? Do they research the dealer experiences that customers are getting or not getting from the folks that sell their bikes?
Its all here and its free.
Its amazing to me how many HD owners will not take their bikes to a dealer for service due to a lack of trust or confidence in them.
Sorry if this topic has been discussed before.
Not sure but do know they are reading those monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales figures for bikes and accessories though.
