Or he might loose his ***. Could be a scammer as well I guess.
I was in the airport the other day waiting for a flight home and bought a copy of American Iron to read on the plane.
I came across an advertisement from an outfit called "stock pipes suck". It's a simple ad that says "Get cash for your old or new stock Harley mufflers, $75.00 Cash".
I thought that he might be onto something what with all the laws being talked about around the country to make it illegal to run anything but OEM mufflers on bikes.
If the laws take off and guys start looking for stock mufflers he could stand to make some coin. I'm thinking he might be marketing already in areas that have passed the laws.
Anybody heard of anyone selling stock mufflers in any areas that have passed and are enforcing the law?

I sold my stock pipes for $50.00 (private sale)
I don't buy much from merchants so I don't look at the adds here. Buy most of the stuff for my bike from private parties or on ebay.
Seems to me the only reason someone would buy stock mufflers is to resell them for a profit but I don't see much of a market for them unless people are being forced to put them back on.
Do you know why they are buying up only mint stock mufflers?
Don't know why I care. Guess I'm just a bit bored tonight.
Ran the address on Google street view and could only get a satelite shot showing a large warehouse type building labeled as;
Sound Motor Sports
264 Fairchild Ave
Fairfield CT 06825
203-368-9411
Category: Motorcycles & Motor Sports
Sub Category: Motorcycle & Motor Scooter Repair & Service
But, a link off the Stock Pipes Suck website, American Custom, LLC, a seller of pipes comes back to the same address. Sounds like he's getting his raw materials cheap on one site and selling at a profit on the other. Ah, the American way. Gotta love it.
Yes he opens up the baffels. Also sells stock the mufflers with inchangeable baffels. I think it's a stand up Co. There on the fourms. But $75.00 is ok but with the shipping I would have to pay it's not worth it to me.
