Default NHTSA and Helmets

The National Highway and Traffic Safety Administration has bribed all states to have road blocks just for motorcycles. This has very little to do with safety than that NHTSA has for years been out to set the precedent of getting a legal means of transportation off the highway. Then they will start from there. To further their goal they are now offering states that do not have a mandatory helmet law to pass one to get money. In this economy guess what concern the states have for us. I have hand written a letter to my senator to complain and to point out if the NHTSA has this kind of money to throw away on motorcyle safety. Which has been falling in recent years due to more rider education. That money needs to be removed from their budget and put to better use. If you don't like having Big Daddy tell you how to protect yourself from yourself then you need to write a letter soon.

I need to see a citation for that. Can you please post your source?

Who, me? No.

I just have to read for myself about a government plot to outlaw motorcycles.
You know what they say:
When motorcycles are outlawed, only outlaws...

I agree, although this is nothing new. Anyone here old enough to remember Joan Claybrooke when she was the head of the NHTSA in the '70s? Exact same crap.
