Used Pingles for years; now have Wheel Dock; expensive but my bikes are worth it. There is NO load on the suspension at all when the bike is in the dock; it's tied down from the fender mounts on the front forks to the dock...works for Dynas and Road Kings equally well, as long as it's sized for the width of the front tire. I have pair of boards screwed to the floor on either side of the rear tire to keep the bikes from skewing sideways...
I bought the J&S wheel chock. Great quality and you can use it with out it being bolted down (say garage floor for working on it or washing). And it's only 4 banjo bolts that stay in the trailer when you take the chock out. Also you don't need strap the back of the bike. I had this in my enclosed full of other things when I was moving and the bike sat just fine when I moved!! I drove 400 miles and a third was through the mountains twist and turns. The strap down point are built into the chock so you don't have to add to the trailer floors. Oh and the straps I used were from Home Depot and they have built in soft ties. They were a lot better quality then the 5 motorcycle shops I went into.
I just trailered my bike 1100 miles in the back of a uhaul.....no wheel chock....only 4 tie downs....marked the floor so i could see if there was any movement....the bike didnt move a 1/2 inch in 1100 miles.

have no desire to irritate anyone. the docking system look like they work good. now i'm asking in a sincere and honest way for an opinion. what harm do you think comes to the suspension from having it fully compressed for an extended period of time. i look forward to a debate on this without having it deteriote into name calling. i'll start it out with my opinion
1.you could leave a bike tied down with the shocks fully compressed for a year and it would work just as well as it did before being tied down.
2.thier is more wear(granted it's minimal) on a suspension when the bike is on a trailer with the suspension completely free(like a docking system) then their is riding the bike on the same road for the same distance.
how about it ?

I'm no expert on this, but this makes no sense. The suspension is made to go up and down and the fact that a bike sitting free in a trailer (not compressed) is more wear the then riding it is beyond me.
It makes me wonder why they sell the blocks and the stands for dirt bikes made to tie down the bike without compressing the suspension....HMMM!!! Those scammers!!
