well I am not sure if I could do it on my sporty but I have done it plenty of times on rice rockets, dirt bikes, quads and snowmobiles. Out running them on the snowmobile is probably the most fun. I had a ski-do 670 fomula ss. It did over a 110mph, some times I think they just put the lights on to see if you were going to pull over after that they just give up.

It's ironic that I should read this, this morning after just reading in the local headlines that some DUI idiot that thought he could outrun the cops, stopped for police, then took off. The pursuit lasted less than 60 seconds before he t-boned the drivers side door of another car and killed the 52 year old woman who was driving. It's usually not the a$$hole who thinks he can get away that gets killed. There should be a madatory prison sentence for fleeing police.

You may be able to outrun a car, but you can't beat the radio! We have strict pursuit policies and we generally don't chase bikes, unless it is something really bad that they are wanted for. Just too dangerous. A lot of factors to consider...offense, do we know the person we are chasing, surroundings, etc. If you know them, you can always get them later.

Unless you know how to make you and your vehicle completely invisible, know how to reduce your body temperature to the surrounding air temperature and give off absolutely no scent what so ever don't even try to out run the law. It's futile....

while its difficult to catch a sport/dirtbike/atv in the city- i do quite well. for some strange reason- when these azzclowns are close me me- my bumper somehow 'bumps' them. 
99% of those who run are riding stolen bikes or have guns/drugs.
