I left early this morning with a neighbor to meet friends for breakfast. It was in the low 50's which was a little warmer than expected. Rain was predicted, but it was mostly clear when we left. I didn't take rain gear because I live in SoCal and I don't have any.
We had a good ride out to Old Town Temecula, and a good breakfast. Took a ride out to the vineyards and than down to Oceanside to get back to Orange County even though the sky was getting dark. The rain didn't come until about 2:00PM. We made it home by 2:20PM and only got a little wet.
Now it's off to the sportsbar with my wife to watch the game. All in all a good day, a good ride., and a good way to end the holiday weekend. I wish everyone the best as we start the new year.
Sir, I live through your riding... with so much snow/ice on the ground here, I'll be lucky to pull the bike out of the garage in late March. I don't mind the cold (20's is fine if you dress for it), but I don't do ice and prefer to have no salt on roads. That's why it will be mid-March (if I'm lucky)!

Where do you live in Orange county that it was in the low 50s early this AM? It didn't get to low 50s here in Orange (city) until after 10!

Mission Viejo. Low 50's at 8:00AM and no wind. Going over the Ortega it probably got down to the low 40's, especially in the shade. Temecula might have been below 50 degrees, but not by much. We ate breakfast outside. It felt good sitting in the sun, but the shade was cold.
