I currently was gifted an American Bagger Magazine subscription by a friend as a Christmas gift. At first if was OK to breeze threw, but it seems these bagger magazines are more about the right way to have a "shop" customize your bike and less about the "owner" customizing his bike in his garage. Pretty much the opposite of every principle of motorcycling I hold dear.
I had subscribed but then they started throwing more and more bike mag offers at me so I canceled before they even got to charge my card. Looked like something to do besides pestering the wife to make that girl on girl video I always wanted.
Due to work, when I need to fly, I'll sometimes grab a copy and read through it to pass the time. It's ok to pass the time while stuck in a coach seat and there is an occasional advertisement in the back pages or bits of info in an artical that are good, but all in all, not that great of a rag to me.

Some seem to be confused. American Iron Magazine only had two issues as a trial on the news stands. They did not have a subscription product out at that time so those that posted they had tried a subscription had some other magazine not from American Iron.
American Iron is the largest scribed to of all motorcycle magazines. They have great how to articles. I save them and catalog in case I ever need to do the same work.
They have a great Q&A section that answers problems that the HD dealer has not been able to solve.
There was a investigation into the rear cylinders oil leak problem in the CVO 110"s. They identified the problem as the liner moving after prolonged high heat. Harley just keep redesigning the head gasket. They are on their fourth version now.
Even though it is a great magazine, I don't seen enough additional info that just relates to having the extras that the bagger has.
To me it is mostly the mechanical stuff that I'm interested in so I won't get a subscription. I may buy a few issues to check for sure though.
