In 80º weather it takes my Heritage over 30 miles at 60 miles an hour to get up to 225º.

At 50º ambient I rode for over 2 hours and the temp never went above 170º.

Short trips or idling the bike for a while will not get the engine up to a temp that will boil off the condensation.

If you can't ride enough to keep it out change the oil more frequently.
