My FXST came with Pythons -- the mid-length version. The baffles are basically gone, like someone took a broom handle and mashed them up.

Someone told me that Python welds their baffles in. Is that true? Can I somehow remove them and reinstall the proper ones? The bike has a huge flat spot off idle and occasionally backfires, probably because of reduced back pressure.

Any help appreciated.
