God if they would only move to Texas and save us Minnesotan's some money.
Sorry but I really get pissed off when over payed athletes whine for a stadium.
They had the old Met but oh no they wanted a dome. Now they want open air. Give me a f****n break.

I remember when Jesse was Governor, he was on a Monday Night Football game being interviewed and the commentaters asked him about a new stadium. He just looked at em and said in that sweet soothing voice of his something to the effect that as soon as Minnesota has paid for getting all the schools that are older than the Metrodome up to the condition they should be, then come talk to him about a new stadium. The guys in the booth didnt know how to counter such common sense, and just kinda stuttered, well.....thanks for talkin to us governor. It wa great. We need more like him.

I agree. I really like Jesse. He was a bit over the top in his presentation, but he pulled no punches and told it how it is. When he vetoed the budget because the Repubs/Dems wouldn't cut spending but instead used all the tobacco money to prop up their expenditures, and they overturned him, it all turned out exactly like he said. Two years later we were in even worse shape and had no financial reserves to lean on.
Twins were burnt out after the massive push they put in to win the division. I think if they had a little more time to get themselves emotionally ready for a demanding series we'd be playing better...but either way, I don't see anyone beating the yankees this year so does it really matter when they are eliminated?
