Fallen Riding Buddies
So here's my idea for this thread...
If someone you knew lost their life riding a motorcycle, post a memory of them here. Post your favorite memory, something unique about their personality, or vent your frustrations over your loss.
Do the best you can to keep things positive. Pain and loss can be difficult to cope with.
And please, please, please don't make this into a politics and/or helmet law thread...
His name was James 'Mic' Schnase. I met him when we were both snowboarding instructors. I only knew him for a few years, but I felt like I knew him my whole life. He was like a kid brother for me. Whenever he would have money trouble, I would let him room with me for few weeks or whatever. He was young and smart and had bright future ahead of him. He was a helicoptor pilot and planned to have his own heli-skiing company.
Even though he rode a sport bike and I rode a harley, we used to ride together and we both enjoyed it. He used to say that I was the only cruiser he liked to ride with cuz I kept up.
It still makes me tear up to think of him. I miss my friend.
