Default Headset for FF Helment advice

Bought an 06 Ultra Classic about a month ago, it came with a half helment with the headset in it. I don't like the half helment, I have been using a FF for the past 8 years. I am wanting to get headsets so that the wife and I can talk when we want to, so what have you found to be the best headset for a FF Helment. The helments we use has some age on them so a new helment with audio is a possiblility, I don't talk on cell phone while riding, but the wife may would if we have that capability with blue tooth or whatever. Thanks for your advice

I've always been a big fan of J&M's products.

We had J&M headsets, but when we bought our new Ultra it came with a single headset. We bought another so we had a matched pair. The quality is similar between the two, but the connecting cables for the J&M products to the Harley system are very expensive.

Webbikeworld rated the Sena SMH10 headsets as the best available recently. after doing alot of research and reading forums I will be ordering a set next week. 12 hours talk time on a charge (verified by many users) the ability to plug itno the bike for power and still use them, large jog dial to adjust many things including volume. Plus you can find many places with them for around $275 for the pair. Rocketmoto has reported to have outstanding customer service.

This is what I plan on going with mostly to use an mp3 player, intercom to the mrs, and on occasion if work calls.

The wife and I got a set of Cardo Scala Q2s last year and we LOVE them -- they worked great on our 1000-mile ride up to the Amish country last year. She wore a 3/4 with face shield and I wore a modular FF. Speakers are very comfortable once you get them placed. The only complaint I have about the Cardos is the wind can activate the intercom at interstate speeds. We tried all the tricks, from replacing the windscreen to putting tape over one side of the mic. We were able to make it better, but not completely stop it. Still, that small annoyance was well worth the wife having her own tunes via iPod, as well as having our cell phones connected in case of emergency. The intercom communication is clear and the controls are easy to manipulate even with gloves. Battery life is great as well.

Best deal I found when I bought mine was at SheRides. In addition to being the cheapest, the speed of shipping (which was free, by the way) was quicker than any online retailer I've ever seen, and I do a LOT of online shopping. Best of luck with your decision.

I'm sorry, but wouldn't that just encourage the wife to TALK while you're riding?

J&M headsets....but............make sure your helmets have pockets that have enough room for the speakers.
