Are you for real? Are you asking premission to wear Harley's overpriced laundry? I have three Harleys and never wear their silly advertising. They have turned motorcycle shops into boutiques, so I guess boutique people must be riding Harleys.
That's where the profits are! Harley is really an apparel company that also sells bikes.
Don't worry about selling out. Sadly, it's the American way now. Wear your apparel and enjoy.
Besides, if you don't, think how sad the little girl who sewed it together in China/Pakistan/India/Whatever Other Country - check the labels - will be.
I would think it appropriate to wear this clothing provided... they still fit. If your rotund, protruding belly has reached such girth as to stretch the said clothing to unimaginable tightness, then wear said clothing only in the confines of your basement (don't have a basement, then you must by proper HD etiquette repair to a dark, dank, dangerous trailer while donning said clothing). OTOH, Rule 3.2.4.1.a.4.c, subsection 8a of HD clothing etiquette which deals with overly loose clothing, you must wear said clothing only during monsoons, tsunamis, or libertarian tea parties. Once you have regained your senses and returned to the world of Harley ownership, you may ignore any and all rules regarding clothing. Except for ATGATT. This condition is one that afflicts many, not the least of which is me, but I do, on occasion, not wear my HD t-shirt under my leathers, nor do I wear boxer briefs under my assless chaps.
Of course, I made all of the above up. You have the clothes in your possession, you wear them or not. It's your decision as the fashion police around here are some of the worst dressers around.
I don't think you should wear them. I think you need to box them up, and send them to me and I'll wear them until you get another bike. HA HA Jerking your chain.... Wear the things. you bought and paid for them, if someone doesn't like it WHO CARES!! Good luck on getting another bike. I know how it is without one. Did the same thing for 14 years while my son was growing up. Now he rides too.
