Glad you're alright man. I was in a similar situation a week or so ago. I was on the freeway and I SWEAR this guy kept INTENTIONALLY swerving into my lane like he was trying to run me over! Did it twice. First time I thought, okay, maybe doing something stupid and not paying attention so I gave him a dirty look and kind of a WTF?! gesture.
Then a couple minutes later as he's pulling up along side me again the car suddenly and violently swerves over into my lane then, just as quickly, back into his. It looked VERY intentional and a bunch of thoughts played through my head including kicking the ever loving crap out of his door. I looked over, flipped him off, then accelerated away from him splitting traffic. He got off the freeway shortly thereafter but I kept an eye on him in my mirrors and wouldn't let him get near me again.
All I could think of was car > bike. **** him off and I might not be questioning whether it was intentional or not but rather if it was worth the ambulance ride and hospital stay.
I don't want to get into a pissing contest cause I wasn't their. But, you said that you knew about the blind drive ways, yet you were going to fast to stop in this situation? I think you share some of the blame for being in this situation.
Be careful taking a whip to a gun fight. I am sure that all the sensitive members will be pointing out how your actions can be considered a crime. I think that inflicting painful memories on a person might have a positive effect on their future actions. In summary a good *** kicking works wonders. I witnessed a case of road rage last week in front of me. I even slowly followed the perpetrator to his drive at a distance in case the law got involved. If that dumb *** had swerved at me like that I would be paying lawyers probably now.

Decided to go for a ride to the store real quick and some SOB pulls out in front of me.
As I get about a 1/2 mile from my house I come around a corner at the top of a hill. I always look out in this area because there are a few blind driveways. Sure as shiat when I round the corner heres this A**hat poking his Jeep cherokee out in my lane and starts to go then stops and then goes. All the while I've got the bike locked up and my a** puckered to the seat. I end up going off the road and around him, but needless to say he had my attention.
Now in some cases I would be understanding given that its a blind corner. If someone were to pull out and maybe have a oh shiat I pulled out in front of this guy look or maybe a waive and sorry, but no this SOB was laughing!
Now enraged I spin the bike around and chase him down as I get up next to him on a two lane road in the opposite lane I'm calling him every name in the book prepared to stomp a mud hole in his chest the SOB swerves at me.
Now im really pissed and start trying to kick the side of his car like the damn Karate Kid. I fly around him and stop and get off my bike at the next stop sign and course he wants no part of this and blows the stop sign.
Im thinking maybe I need a get back whip with a two inch ball on the end for a little added enforcment next time. Fortunately I know were he lives, but going to this guys house would probably just land me in jail so thats out.
Rant over....

Hopefully you realize your mistake and learn from it. I know I did and I'm still alive....I think. Life is a good teacher.
Funny you mentioned about the gun being pulled as that ran through my head and probably why I didn't keep following him.
When my father in-law was first married he told me that he and my mother in-law were in the front yard of there home working in the yard when a guy drove by and yelled something derogatory at my mother in-law. Being a guy my FIL yelled something back and the guy stopped and brought out a 1/2 steal cable to basicly take someones head off.

No pissing match here... Let me layout a few scenarios here.
I ride as if everyone is going to pull out in front of me or cut me off. Always scanning ahead and trying to predict what someone will do.
Does that mean that I should ride 20mph everywhere with the anticipation that I'm going to get in an accident.
I dont know about you, but I dont have ABS and my bike locks the rear up pretty easy as well as all of my previous bikes. The speed limit was 50mph where I was riding and I was doing all of about 40mph.
The only share I will except is not being visible enough wearing some funky orange reflect suit!
Here's a good read on a similar situation that ended up in court. I would react the same way as you since I have always had a bad temper when it comes to A-holes on the road.

Southpaw Super Glide: A Left-Hand-Drive 1979 Harley FXE Built to Fit the Rider
Yesterday morning I had a woman "drift" into my lane, at the light I was able to pull up next to her. The b'atch was putting polish on her nails. The lip-sync'd a few choice words at her, she just shrugged and drove off when she got the green light.
I've also had guys smirk and laugh when I hit the brakes, as they were starting to creep forward from a stop sign ..... that crap scares me. Car vs Bike = Bike loses.
Whether right or not, the Bike loses.
I think most of us understand your rage. I've had the same feelings many times while riding. I live in a "Shall Issue" state, and that does tend to change the "I think I'll kick his stupid ***" dynamics. You can't beat down every idiot driving a cage or you'd be doing more fighting than riding! Just glad you're OK. Ride safe, ride aware.
